Heading Home

Posted in life, portland, travel by amoslanka on May 23, 2008

So tomorrow today (since its 12:07am) I’m heading home to Nebraska and Colorado for a bit of a vacation. I’ve not been there since the end of January. Thats a long time for me right now. I’m looking back at what I’ve done in the past four months and am feeling many different emotions, good and bad. I’ll be arriving in Denver to be picked up by my sister at about 10pm, then driving the 5 hour trip to my parents ranch in western Nebraska. Hopefully later in the week I’ll also have the time to spend with the Anders’s (1, 2, 3, 4) and a few other friends before heading for Colorado Springs to see even more old friends. I’ve been looking forward to this trip for a long time, and am anxious to spend the vacation time thinking, reading, and enjoying my closest of friends and family before flying back to Portland on June 1st.

Goodbye for now, Oregon, Please be nicer when I return.

Meanwhile, Stephie and some other friends are driving to Portland from Colorado Springs. I’ve made that drive before. I wish them luck. They’re driving even as I type. I’d hoped they would be here in time to stop and have coffee with me on their way past Hood River. Looks like its not gonna happen though, they’re a bit late.
