Waterfall Hiking 6.15.08

Posted in friends, life, travel by amoslanka on June 21, 2008

It was a week ago that some friends and I took another hike, this time on the Oregon side of the river. We hiked several trails up around Elowah Falls late in the afternoon. It was just in time for the sun to be mostly gone by the time we crossed the bridge just under the falls. Its one of those waterfalls that fills most of the valley with mist as well as a super strong wind down crossing the bridge. Kind of cold. That and it was such a spur of the moment trip that I had no camera, no jacket, and we all hiked in flip-flops. Luckily the girls both brought their cameras. Good times, either way, and it was good to hang out with Jillianne and Heather.

One thing that I know I’ll regret is that I didn’t do enough hiking when I lived in Or. Such a beautiful state, but I was too lazy to get out and see it.

Ok, so WV has more than its share of outdoor activities, but OR is one place I’d love to hike.
