A Tribute to Canada, Eh?
Today is Canada Day, for those of you non-Canadiens out there who aren’t holiday oriented. Today is a day to celebrate hockey, eskimos, moose(s), William Shatner, the word “eh”, and all the other Canada-isms we can think of off the top of our head.
Some of us at the office are convinced that Canada conspired to put its “[Country]-day” on July 1st because its big brother (the US) was on July 4th, and Canada just wanted to grab the microphone and jump in front of the home video camera just to steal the attention from big brother.
In honor of Canada’s orneriness, here’s a song: (that when you think about it, really does sound like Canada, if Canada sounded like something other than a moose)

now, while i’m not much of fan of the cartoon, by any means, there are a few episodes of s. park, such as the episode where canada “goes on strike” demanding “more money” from the world that i find hilarious. and in all the hoopla, the s. parks are able to negotiate gum balls and benigans coupons for the entire country to go back to work! horray canada!!!
I work very closely with a Canadian who just moved to the states…this blog made my day and gave her a laugh, too. :)
