The Adventures Of John And Sandy In Oregon, Part 1
Last night I picked ma and pa up in Portland. We brought Parker along to dinner that night at Noodles & Company in the city and then made a quick visit to Powell’s (a must for first time visitors to Pordtland). We also happened to find and start a conversation with the one lady in the city who lived in Portland but talked with a drawl and wanted to discuss possum stew. No joke, she really did. Welcome to redneck Portland, mom and dad.
Today’s adventures included silhouette pictures in front of a mountain (Mt. Hood) on fire. Can’t see the smoke, its on the south side of the mountain. We followed the ridgeline from the hills east of Hood River all the way to the ridge directly east of Mt. Hood, finding some grande views of the valley and mountain from up high.
On the way back we stopped at a few fruit stands (fruit is one of my unrealized favorite things) to pick up some deliciousness.
When Mom was here with me in February she experienced take-out Chinese food for the first time, so we decided to reenact that day with some Kung Pao and a movie to end the evening.
The adventures continue tomorrow with part 2 :)
