Bryan And Beth

I can’t remember having a busier summer than this, especially in terms of friendly visits. I’ve been able to see so many old friends, new friends, and family in the past two months.
Bryan and Beth are some old friends of mine from the college days, and are actually two of probably 4 or 5 that I still keep in touch with. Both are highly interested in moving to Portland (can you blame them?) and even though I like to think they came all the way out just to see me, I think they might be here also to scope out the city, as it were. So they arrived this afternoon and I headed in to the city to spend the evening hanging out and showing what little I know about the city, which of course started with the Broadway Bridge as seen in the photo. Later this week they’ll be out to Hood River to check out all the fun that goes on sixty miles from the city.
By the way, I welcomed them to Portland with a bag of fresh-picked-by-yours-truly blueberries which I hope additionally persuades them to move to Oregon. Kinda makes you want to come visit me doesn’t it? Free blueberries!

Yo Amo, bet you never thot you’d hear from ur ole man on here, huh? Glad you got to hook up with Doug. He’s a deep thinker too. Great pics of Portland, and I don’t even like pics of cities. I will vouch for the blue berry attraction in your part of the country. The berries on our cereal were superb. The scenery was awesome as well, although it don’t look like the best cow country and that’s what everything usually boils down to for me. Later buddy
