i somewhat feel already beaten when i think about accomplishing peace on grand levels.
but then i have to remind myself what my job is – accomplish what little steps i can and let God worry about the grand scheme of things, especially since He’s the ultimate victor.

thanks for the comment. You know, I wonder if our mentality of trying to fix the whole world is largely what stands in the way of actually changing it. If it is changeable, it can only happen via the small things. Reminds me of Gandhi’s quotes about being the change you want to see in the world. We americans have what I call a celebrity complex — leading us to think that anythign and everything we do to “change the world” must be big and huge like bono, or else its useless. Not so, and I think Gandhi would likely agree with me. One person’s greatest contribution starts with unconditional love for those around them.

I was going to respond to using your Gandhi quotes from earlier but you have. It seems as though we are trying to “fix” the wrong things when viewing the world. That is why when people say “I want world peace” I cringe, for what is that supposed to exactly mean?
