movement, movement

About

Why movement, movement?

I live in Portland, Oregon.

I smoke a tobacco pipe as often as I can. I’ve found that most things for me are pointless in life unless I’m sharing it with someone. When I’m old I’ll combine these with a rocking chair and be the old man smoking a pipe on a porch with the other old timers.

Until then, my life will be about my family and friends. A perfect afternoon for me these days consists of a book in hand and friends on a porch in conversation over pipe and brew.

The most important thing I’ve learned thus far in life its that love is action, not words. The second most important is that we must prepare for failure in this. What hurts most is the failure of others to love us. But to understand this is half the battle, the other half is the decision to press on fearlessly.

I’m always looking for conversations, fellow bloggers, thinkers, and Waldo. If you feel like chatting, or if you are Waldo, please do contact me.

haha, as i also stumbled on your page and was impressed enough to check out who writes it….i couldnt help but notice that all comments here so far, are women. hahaha, and they all want to meet you…

though, my purpose for commenting is merely to say, that i am impressed, and will be visiting back often. your depth for someone so young is amusing.

I love your bio. I wish I was closer so I could grab a pint and have a smoke with you (I’m more of a cigar guy but I can adapt).

By the way, you mentioned looking for Waldo and when you said that I realized that’s exactly who you look like in that photo…Waldo! :-)

    Let’s stay in touch.

Amos, good to hear from you bro. I have actually been checking into your blog for a while. I can’t even remember how I found it, but I love it.

Off to grad school soon, so the more time I sit puffing a pipe, the better. A rocking chair would help. Also, I have a kid now. She’s the best. Super funny, laughs quite a bit, but has a very discernible personality. You’ll have to see her, once life either takes me to the west coast or you to the heartlands.

    Cheers

The fact that you found the anatomy of a lego man makes me want to get to know you. That and the fact you smoke a pipe.

That’s so relative to my life right now. And -somehow- it just made me feel so much better :) Thanks Amos!

may I quote you on my Facebook. I personally am not a big fan of putting stuff up on facebook because it’s kinda creepy that a website knows so much about so many people. But that is the best quote I have recently come up to… and speaks a load of truth. so if i may share that I would be very grateful.
